GIVEAWAY! Celebrate Music Monkey Jungle’s New Album
Come sing and party March 4 with Music Monkey Jungle.
Ooh-ooh-ooh! Aah-aah-aah! Cha-cha-cha! If you have a small child in the city you are no doubt familiar with the musical stylings of Music Monkey Jungle, whose seemingly ubiquitous team of musicians hold classes throughout the city all week.
You can find them in every corner of Philadelphia, from Rittenhouse to Old City to NoLibs to South Philly and more. They even come out to the Main Line once a week at cBOP, and are starting a movement-focused class at the new Phield House in Spring Garden.
But if your little music monkey just can’t get enough, you can bring it all home with the new album Monkey Business, which is available to stream and for purchase at shows.
The new album is 27 tracks of high energy and feel-good songs that are sure to get your little ones jumping, moving, and laughing (we especially loved “Chicken Dinosaur”).
It’s the next best thing to going to music class, and includes some mainstays of the live experience, with the infectious theme song, classic “Wheels on the Bus” taking you to the jungle, the “Monkey Cheer,” and the “Goodbye Song” to close out the hour.
On Sunday, March 4, Music Monkey Jungle will host a Sunday Family Singalong at Old Pine Community Center. The whole MMJ team will be there for a morning of music, movement, dance, refreshments, and balloon art. A portion of the proceeds will go to The American Cancer Society’s new initiative Mamas Move Mountains, which challenges the Philadelphia area’s most influential moms to leverage their reach to promote healthy living and cancer prevention through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities and advocacy programs.
Even better, we are hosting a GIVEAWAY: One lucky family will receive free admission to Music Monkey Jungle’s upcoming Sunday Family Singalong on March 4 at Old Pine Community Center, as well as free Music Monkey Jungle CD download cards upon entrance to the event.
To enter, follow Philadelphia Family on Instagram, like our post about MMJ, and and tag a friend who you think would enjoy Sunday’s show by noon on Friday, March 2. We’ll randomly select a winner and let them know by 4 pm March 2.
