Realtor Katie Kincade Has Built Her Business on Making Connections

This Main Line realtor is an area native and a mom, too.

As a child, Katie Kincade spent summers with her grandmother, who was a Realtor. That experience made her want to go into real estate herself.

 

With a few years working in the hospitality industry after college under her belt — and the experience of being a mother of two — Kincade’s commitment is to responsive, old-fashioned client service.

 

“With two young children myself, I completely understand the stress of the day to day,” she said. “I think being in similar home situations helps me to empathize and relate to all that goes into selling and buying a home.”

 

Kincade works with all kinds of clients, but the majority are families with children. The Havertown native, who now lives in Radnor, is intimately familiar with the area and can help buyers find just the right spot.

 

In a tight market —with buyers competing over a relatively low inventory of homes for sale — relationships matter, Kincade said.

 

“Through the relationships I’ve built with fellow realtors, as well as networking within the Main Line and surrounding areas, often I am able to find houses for my buyers prior to them being listed,” she said. “This helps the buyer get the home of their dreams without an immense amount of competition.”

 

She wants to help buyers understand what’s happening, too, as she works to make every transaction as smooth as possible. Especially for busy parents, having those details taken care of can really reduce the stress of buying or selling.

 

“Since every day is different in the real estate world, I feel driven to continue to learn while educating consumers throughout the process,” she said.

 

The real estate business is fun, Kincade said, because while your home is a huge purchase, it’s also a huge part of a family’s day-to-day life. Helping families find the right place to raise their kids and live their lives is a great feeling, she said.

 

“There’s an emotional piece to it too,” she said. “It’s not just an investment, it’s a family’s retreat, where they make memories.

 

“There is something so rewarding about helping to find the place they’ll call home for years to come.”
