Kids Rule at Rittenhouse Square Little Friends Festival
This combination carnival, concert, and block party is June 14.
Your kids already love Rittenhouse Square. On June 14, the Philly icon is all about families, as the Little Friends Festival transforms the park with music, rides, games, and fun for all ages.
Under a tent in the square, the festival features food, crafts, and more and has become an unofficial kickoff to summer. It’s basically a carnival, a concert, and a block party, all at once. Even better, you can ride, eat, and play for one price: $10 for adults and $15 for kids over 2, if you buy your tickets in advance. (Tickets are $20 at the door.)
The bash benefits the Friends of Rittenhouse Square, which works with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and provides much of what keeps the park beautiful, including landscaping, holiday lights, and repairs.
Children of all ages are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Strollers aren’t allowed, but there will be stroller parking available.
The party runs from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Click here to buy your tickets online; advanced sales end at 11 pm June 13.
