Maddie Ziegler Signing Books in Haverford March 8

At fourteen, Maddie Ziegler has danced for millions and starred on both television and film. Now, she's written a memoir, and will be signing books in Haverford March 8.

Not all people can say they’ve danced in music videos, toured around the world, and starred on a hit reality television show all before they entered in high school. For Maddie Ziegler, that’s just another week in the life.

It’s no surprise then that the 14-year-old has written a memoir. The Maddie Diaries tells the story of Ziegler’s journey, and despite being so young, Ziegler has an incredible story to tell.

At age 8, Maddie joined the cast of Dance Moms, a reality television show on Lifetime that followed the chaotic and dramatic lives of competitive dancers and their mothers. Fans were quick to follow the drama around the moms, but they also became attached to the young dancers on the stage. Ziegler became a fan favorite due to her incredible dance ability and “the Maddie face.”

Ziegler has since left the show, and has gone on to become a brand ambassador for Capezio dance wear, dance for Grammy award-winner Sia in music videos and on tour, and has also released her own clothing line, Maddie Style. In the summer of 2016, she was a judge on the hit television show So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation, voiced Camille Le Haut in the animated film Ballerina (2016), and is starring in the upcoming film The Book of Henry (2017).

Fans of the Dance Moms and of Ziegler will love The Maddie Diaries: A Memoir (Gallery Books, 2017), where they’ll find behind-the-scenes stories they never saw on the show like the time the bus broke down, and what her friendships with the other girls are like beyond the camera. Fans will also read about her dance practice and how she maintains her technique, her special bond with Sia, and all her favorite things from movies, TV, makeup, and fashion.

Ziegler offers a unique perspective on what it’s like to be a teenager in the limelight, and is a great role model for other young girls with big dreams.
