Bunnies, Eggs, and Baskets: Hop to These Main Line Easter Events
Looking for Easter fun on the Main Line? Here's your blueprint.
From egg hunts to springtime hayrides and tea with the Easter Bunny, there are lots of ways to celebrate.
April 8, 10 am
The 15th annual egg hunt in Bala Cynwyd will be a jammed-packed morning of Easter fun. In addition to the hunt the day will include photos with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny, a crafting station, face painting, live music, and raffles. All proceeds of this year’s hunt will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
April 8, 10 — 11:30 am
Meet the Easter Bunny in Schauffele Plaza, get your scavenger hunt map, and follow the Easter trail through Ardmore. The hunt ends with treats and prizes at an Easter party.
April 8, 1 pm
Narberth Park is once again the site for this annual springtime tradition. The hunt starts at 1 pm sharp, and after the dizzying dash to gather as many eggs as possible kids can enjoy photos with Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny.
Events and Brunches
April 2, 2 — 5 pm
The annual Spring Eggstravaganza at Villanova University is the perfect way to kick-off spring on the Main Line. Activities abound all afternoon and include an egg hunt, arts and crafts, face painting, bounce houses, entertainment, food and drinks, and prizes.
April 8 — 15, 11 am — 4 pm
Get some fresh spring air and visit the Bunny too. Linvilla Orchards offers fun hayrides to its Bunnyland, where kids can visit the Easter Bunny’s house for special treats.
April 8, April 9 and April 15, noon and 2 pm
The West Chester Railroad offers you and your family the chance to take an Easter-themed round trip along the Chester Creek from West Chester to Glen Mills. The Easter Bunny will join the train ride which also features live musical performances of holiday songs.
April 14 — 16, various times
All aboard with the bunny on the Strasburg Rail Road! Go for a lovely ride through the Lancaster countryside on a beautiful vintage steam engine, and give the kids a chance to meet and snap a photo with the Easter Bunny. Coach tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for kids ages 2 — 11, and $4 for kids under 2.
April 15, 1 — 3 pm
Make special holiday memories together with your family at The Radnor Hotel’s Easter Tea. The Easter Bunny hosts the afternoon with snacks and tea, stories, a sing-a-long, and crafts. Tickets should be bought in advance.
April 15 and 16, 9 am — 6 pm
Enjoy Easter weekend amongst the beautiful blooms at Longwood Gardens. Special holiday menus and brunches will be available, and live music will be in the Conservatory during the weekend. Limited tickets are available and should be bought in advance of your trip.
April 16, 9 am — 5:30 pm
The Desmond in Malvern once again hosts its traditional Easter Sunday brunch that’s ideal for families. Seating times are available throughout the day and children under 5 eat free.
Through April 15
Swing by King of Prussia to get the kids’ Easter outfits and then get their photo with the Easter Bunny. The Bunny is there now through the day before Easter.
