Slip on your boots and grab a pumpkin spice-flavored food, because fall is here. There are a ton of great Main Line fall festivals to keep you and your family having fun all autumn long. Thanks to this list, you won’t miss a thing.
September 9 — November 5, 2017
Linvilla Orchards, 137 W. Knowlton Road, Media
Linvilla Orchards has got the autumn season covered with Pumpkinland. A giant display of pumpkins scatters along the orchard and there will be corn mazes, hayrides, pick-your-own apples, live music, and more! Stay all day to make the drive worth it, and bake all night with your freshly picked fruit!

41 Peddler’s Village Road, Lahaska
The drive to Peddler’s Village will be worth it for this unique fall competition. Competitors can construct their own scarecrow at home to be entered in the annual contest. As a viewer you can stroll through the display and vote for your favorite! During the Scarecrow Festival weekend, you learn to make your own scarecrow, chow down in a pumpkin pie eating contest, and paint your own pumpkin to bring home!

Weaver’s Orchard, 40 Fruit Lane, Morgantown
Among the kids activities for the 2016 season are old favorites like pumpkin painting, face painting, the inflatable obstacle course, the farm play area with farm animals, and the meet-and-greet with Posey the Clown. But the new and exciting activity? The MEGA SLIDE. It’s going to be epic. Add in the fall favorites of food, pick-your-own apples and hay rides, and you can’t go wrong.
Restaurant Week: September 15 — 28, 2017
Main Street, Manayunk
During Restaurant week, you can explore some new places and sample their tasting menus! If you’re coming from the Main Line, this is definitely worth the drive!

101 West Lancaster Ave., Wayne
For almost 25 years, the communities of Wayne and Radnor have come together to celebrate the fall season with great food and shopping. Along with the many vendors who will set up during the festival, there will be a sidewalk sale where you can find deals at all your favorite shops along Lancaster Avenue. There will be carnival rides, live music, and performances by dancers from local studios!
September 23, 2017, 2 — 8 pm
35 Cricket Ave., Ardmore
This family-friendly festival celebrates the great food and beer of Germany and the gorgeous fall season. There will be live entertainment and plenty of activities for the kids like games, face painting, and cookie decorating!
September 22 — October 29, 2017
100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
Bring your little ones to enjoy a day of spooky magic at Sesame Place. During weekends from September 22 — October 29, the kids can come in costume and meet their favorite characters. There will be some special Halloween shows, parades, and a kid-friendly maze, as well as all the usual rides and attractions!

The blues fest comes to Paoli each fall to entertain us with the incredible blues musicians from our community. Come in your dancing shoes to dance the afternoon away. Enjoy some great food and browse the many local vendors!

Come learn about the importance of apples in colonial America while sampling some of the many varieties of this autumn fruit. Squashes will also be served up this year as well to add something savory to the mix! There will be plenty of apples and squashes available for purchase, and an apple pie contest if you would like to enter!

Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia
It’s possible you’ve already seen this festival garnering attention on social media, and for good reason. This festival celebrating one of the greatest literary series of our children’s lifetime is expected to have a huge turn out! Chestnut Hill is the perfect place to temporarily become the wizarding world we all love — the Chestnut Hill West Regional Rail line will even become the Hogwarts Express with character lookalikes on board! Enjoy events like a horcrux hunt, costume parade, and Potter pub crawl. It’s a BIG event, but worth the drive.

1001 Longwood Dr., Kennett Square
Like always, Longwood is back to cover another season in light and beauty. The Chrysanthemum Festival honors the flower through beautiful and unique displays throughout the garden including the Thousand Bloom chrysanthemum. This display features over 1000 flowers in full bloom and is quite a sight to see!
November 5 — 6, 2017
41 Peddlers Village Road, Lahaska
Peddler’s Village loves celebrating the fall season in anyway possible. Their apple festival is back this year and they’re cooking up more apple treats than ever. Sample apple butters, apple pies, and apple dumplings while enjoying a crisp fall day in the village.
