WHYY Launches New 24/7 Kids’ Channel
Catch "Curious George" and other PBS children's favorites, on TV and online.
Kids now have 24/7 access to shows like Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Curious George, and Splash and Bubbles on WHYY’s new channel and online live stream, WHYY PBS KIDS.
The free service launched on July 1 and airs on 12.3 (check with your cable provider for precise details). Programs will also stream live at WHYY.org/kids.
“Families across this region will be able to access our trusted educational content anywhere, anytime, and through any device,” WHYY President and CEO William Marrazzo said in a statement. “The WHYY PBS KIDS channel will be a game changer for all families – especially our nation’s most underserved.
“By offering WHYY PBS KIDS programming 24/7, WHYY will extend the reach and impact that we already have in communities across Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.”
With the new channel, WHYY aims to help families spend more time together while watching fun and educational programs. The schedule of children’s programming on the primary channel, WHYY-TV, will be different from WHYY PBS KIDS, so families have options for which shows to watch.
A full schedule is available on WHYY’s website.
