The Family Focus Media team is a group of dedicated, determined women and men who blend their years of experience in marketing, journalism, and design with their passion for their families. Since 2010 we have built, grown, and stood back in awe.
We love connecting our community. Not only do we create and run the magazines, websites, email newsletters, and events of Main Line Parent and Philadelphia Family, but we also combine our talents to help companies big and small connect with their audience through comprehensive communications campaigns. Using social media, videos, emails, and traditional advertising, we deliver powerful branding that is beautiful, engaging, and perfect for today’s busy families. Learn more about our experience and talents, then get in touch so we can put the power of the Family Focus Media team to work for you.
Pamela is a busy mother of four who uses her background in early childhood education to not only entertain her darling brood, but understand the youngest audience members of Main Line Parent. A people person with passion and perseverance, she works one-on-one with local businesses to understand their marketing and advertising needs and create a venue for their voice to be heard. Her warm smile and welcoming attitude make her a partner many now call friend. And yes, she owns a triple stroller.
Laura is a writer and photographer living in Center City with her husband and daughter. In her work, she loves showing off all Philly has to offer, and helping parents discover “city kid life beyond the playground.” If you live in Philly, you’ll probably run into her and her daughter bouncing around town, phone battery rapidly dwindling from documenting all their adventures. You’ll wonder how they’re everywhere and do so much, and her secret is fiercely supportive family and friends, and increasingly low standards for neatness in her apartment. Laura has lived in Philly her whole life, but still manages to find little surprises and everyday magic through her daily life as a city parent.
Mel started her family of two in Philadelphia and recently moved to the Main Line. She enjoys exploring what the ‘burbs have to offer but makes sure to head into the city often to return to the family’s favorite spots and check out what’s new. Mel was in sales for a large technology firm before taking time off to be a mom and is thrilled to join the Family Focus Media team to help with events and sponsorships.
Jess is a local girl made good and dedicated Momma Bear to her blended family including her husband and 3 (soon to be 4) boys. She spent the better part of a decade as an elementary school teacher, while also earning her Masters of Education in Educational Policy from the University of Pennsylvania. Since leaving teaching to be home with her children, Jess has stayed active in the community by working with local play spaces and running a Spanish language immersion class for children aged 3-8. With a passion for meeting people, a talent for making friends, and a non-stop motor (until 9pm when it’s lights out) Jess is excited to use her experience and strengths to help spread the word of the great work Main Line Parent and Philadelphia Family are doing to a successful new group of advertisers and communities. If she’s not trying some fun new activity with her boys, you can find her running on the treadmill, perusing her phone, or broadening her mind watching a combination of Political news and taped Wendy Williams episodes 🙂
Born, raised and residing in Havertown, Steph is rejoining the workforce after taking time to raise her beautiful daughters. While her husband owns a pizzeria, this supermom keeps the anchor dropped at home multitasking the many jobs implied by that title…mom! With backgrounds in newspaper layout and advertising as well as event planning under her belt, Family Focus feels like her second home. Steph is driven, super motivated, and dedicated to succeeding in anything she does and is looking forward to bringing her experience to the team. With her downtime, you can catch her constructing home decorations, learning new arts and crafts or working at the pizzeria blocks from home…but once you get to know her, you’ll realize her favorite weekend activity includes her flip flops and dipping her toes in the sand at her favorite spot, the Jersey Shore.
