Summertime Swing: Philly Outdoor Concerts

From patriotic pomp to a "kindie" series, here's where to hear music outside this summer.

There’s not much better on a summer night than packing a picnic and sitting out with the kids, listening to music while the sun sets. Here’s this year’s list of Philly outdoor concerts; admission is free unless otherwise noted.

This “kindie” music festival features kids’ activities starting at 4 pm, then music from 6 — 7:30. Tickets are $10 per person, and $5 for Smith members, PA Access Cardholders, and Philadelphia Family and Main Line Parent Supporting Members.

PM @ Penn Museum Summer Nights

Wednesdays, 5 — 8 pm

Penn Museum, 3620 South St., Philadelphia

 

Come for a relaxed evening at this great museum (check out the new Middle Eastern galleries), plus a concert in the courtyard. You can bring a picnic (not no alcoholic beverages) or purchase food on-site. Tickets are $10; it’s pay-what-you-wish for Penn Card holders and CHOP and Penn Medicine Employees and free for museum members and kids under 6.
