Playgroups and Meetups on the Main Line

Whether you’re new to the area or just interested in finding new places to play, there are plenty of playgroups and meetups to explore on the Main Line. Here are a few locations where you and your little one can enjoy playtime.
Havertown and Wynnewood
Fitness for moms, by moms! Work out with your kids — all ages are welcome, and so are strollers if you want.
Check the website’s calendar for a complete list of activities. Playgroups include themes such as exploring music and getting ready for reading.
Visit your local Y (or their website) for a list of sports, swim lessons, arts & humanities classes (like theater, dance, and music) geared toward kids of all ages.
Family storytime every Wednesday from 10:15 am — 10:45 am, and repeated from 11 am — 11:30 am. The interactive program includes stories, songs, rhymes, puppets, and movement activities for children 5 and under. No registration needed.
At the Paoli Library, every Thursday morning (10 — 11 am), children from birth to 18 months (and their caregivers) can enjoy storytime and playtime with developmentally appropriate songs, stories, and rhymes.
At the Springfield Township Library, drop in between 10 am and 4 pm on the first and third Fridays of each month to build with the library’s Duplo collection. Suggested for ages 2 to 6.
Every Wednesday morning from 9:30 — 11 am, in Narberth Community Library’s West Wing Community Room. Each session includes a welcome song, followed by open play. Active toddlers, as well as infants and not-yet-mobile babies, will have a comfortable place to play.
Main Line & Center City
The Liberti Church is a great resource to find playgroups. Search by church campus (Main Line or Center City) to see the various kid-friendly (and adult) groups available. The Main Line playgroup is currently being held on Friday mornings and is open to new members.
This indoor playground offers unique events like weekly bilingual short story time and pizza nights. Sign up now for Brunch w/ Elmo in November (mimosas included with adult ticket!)
Belly Pilates offers two new groups: Belly Baby and Me and Daddy Days. The groups are designed to help new moms and dads get to know other new parents.
The Wayne area libraries host various kid-related activities. Check the website to search by branch or date. Activities include playgroups, preschool story time, family story time, book clubs, parent/child workshops.
Tuesdays and Thursdays until December 15, the Land Conservancy of Chester County offers outdoor exploration, assorted art projects, and more for children ages 4 through Kindergarten. Drop in rates/dates on the website.
This playgroup meets on Wednesday mornings (October through April) from 9:30 am — 11:00 am. Find the group on the second floor of the Community Center. Ages 9 months through 4 years, $5/single child, $10/multiple.
