Presidents Day Break Camps Around Philly and the Main Line
Working February 19? Your kids will love one of these camps.
If your kids have off for Presidents Day but you have to work, you’re in luck: lots of places around town are offering one-day break camps sure to entertain kids of all ages and interests!
February 19, 9 am — 3 pm (half day available)
Ages 5 — 9
1916-18 E. Passyunk Ave., Philadelphia
With this creative camp, kids will work with painting, drawing and more to make awesome presidential inspired creations! All materials provided, but bring snacks and lunch. Cost is $70 for full day, $50 for half day. Before and after care are also available at an additional cost.
February 19, 9 am — 5 pm
Hamilton Family Arts Center, 62 N. Second St., Philadelphia
At Arden Drama School, kids can participate in a “Play in a Day” workshop, where they work together to create an original play. The full day is $75.
February 19, 9 am — 3 pm (half day available)

Little ones can spend a day learning and playing at Camp Nest with movement, art, and more. Full day is $82 (add $5 for lunch), and half day (til noon) is $42.

Kids can spend the day in the studio at Philly Art Center’s Queen Village and Fairmount locations. Age groups are split up and guided by teachers who structure creative playtime where kids can draw, build, collage, paint, and more. Sign up for one day (full or half) or any combination of days. Full day is $74, while a half day ends at noon and costs $37.

B-3 3500 Scotts Lane, Philadelphia
Switch up your child’s sitting at a desk all day routine to climbing walls! Kids will spend the day learning bouldering and top rope skills, while also strengthening their problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Kids will also do team building exercises, arts and crafts, and even yoga to help with balance and body positioning. Choose from full day for $80 or half day til noon for $45. Extended care is also available for an additional $10 an hour. Philadelphia Rock Gyms have seasonal camps at all four of their locations in the area, so check out their website for all the options.

Turn your kids’ days off into an adventure! On Friday, February 16, they’ll learn how to make and cook on a campfire. Then on Monday, February 19, it’s winter skills and survival—they’ll study the habits of native wildlife to learn their secrets to surviving harsh winter. Cost is $62 per day (member discounts apply), and extended day until 6 pm is available for an additional $15.

Coaches will lead students through challenges, skills, and games, with some awesome open gym time mixed in. Lunch is also included.

Come for the “Presidents Day Olympics,” a day of general athletic activities, team games, and more specific sports concentration. You can pick full day ($100) or half day ($55), and extended care is available for an extra cost.

Kids will make a snack, a dinner entrée that serves 5, and a festive dessert! HomeCooked will supply ingredients for everyone to make mini taco sliders and Mexican cheesy rice (along with a snack and dessert) to bring home for your family dinner.

Let your kids enjoy an active break from school with rock climbing, skating, sports play, and arcade time at this fun center.
February 16 and 19, 9 am — 3 pm (morning and afternoon half days available)
Ages 5-12 for Handwork Camp; 9-15 for Fashion & Machine Sewing Camp
35 N. Narberth Ave., Narberth
Creative, project-based crafting is the name of the game at the Handwork Studio. Older kids can opt for a full day of fashion and machine sewing. Kids will leave with one or two completed projects. Early care and aftercare is available at an additional cost.

This creative arts camp is offered on days when children are out of school. Kids will do arts and crafts project, as well as movement activities like yoga.

Riverbend Environmental Education Center, 1950 Spring Mill Road, Gladwyne
Join “Team Green” and learn to care for the planet by learning, experimenting, and adopting sustainability practices such as recycling and composting. Grounded in nature-based STEM education programs, children at Riverbend will enjoy hikes, outdoor exploration, crafts, science experiments and hands-on activities.
February 19, 9 am — 3 pm
BSD Code + Design Academy, 1149 Lancaster Ave. (Rosemont Square), Bryn Mawr
Junior coders can create a voice-activated choose your own adventure game, and enjoy a pizza lunch. Cost is $200 per camper.
February 19, 8:30 am—2:30 pm (with flexibility)
133 Old Sugartown Road, Wayne
A full day of fun engaging your child physically, socially, and mentally in a controlled, indoor environment. Kids will engage in sports, games, team activities, crafts, and stories, as well as have the opportunity to craft their experience with “choice time” in the afternoon.
