The Wiggles Are Back With Two June Philly Concerts
Got a Wiggles fan at home? Start the ticket hunt now.
Wake up, Lachy! If your kids love the Wiggles, they’re in luck this summer: the wildly popular Australian children’s musical group will play in Philadelphia June 16.
The “Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle!” tour will be on stage at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts’ Merriam Theatre. Tickets for the 12:30 pm are already sold out, but may be available through resale outlets. The demand was so high that a 4 pm show was added; click here to find tickets. Face value is $40 for ages 1 and over, and $5 for kids under 1.
The Wiggles have been performing (with an assortment of cast members) since 1991 and are basically the kids’ version of the Beatles in Australia. The group has been popular here, too. In the U.S., the Wiggles’ TV show is available on Universal Kids and Hulu, and of course, there’s always YouTube.
The new tour will feature Emma, Lachy, Simon and Anthony, along with friends Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog and the Wiggly Dancers. There will be singing, dancing, and lots of fun.
The Merriam Theatre is at 250 S. Broad St., Philadelphia. Visit the Kimmel Center’s website for more information.
